MCG Dermatology Services MCG Dermatology Services is supported by the MCG Health System section of Dermatology, and is one of only two cutaneous research and teaching programs in the state of Georgia. It boasts a nationally as well as internationally renowned faculty. Patient care services offered encompass both the areas of medical and surgical dermatology as well as dermatopathology. Supported by an outstanding group of resident physicians and supporting staff, the department offers sympathetic and understanding care to its patients, with all of the newest diagnostic and treatment entities available in dermatology today. Our dermatologists diagnose and treat minor as well as difficult diseases of the skin, hair and nails in both adults and children. This includes skin tumors, psoriasis, acne and severe atopic dermatitis. The department has special expertise and interest in the treatment of blistering diseases, cutaneous allergy, connective tissue diseases, fungal disease, vasculitis and skin cancer. In addition, a variety of procedures are performed which includes dermatologic surgery and Psoralen UVA (PUVA) for the treatment of psoriasis. It serves as a regional referral center for many difficult dermatologic disorders. Available services include:
