MCG Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Team

spine illustrationMCG Health offers a dedicated team specializing in the management of spine disorders. Through combined efforts, Drs. Norman Chutkan and Allan Goodrich provide advanced surgical care for simple to complex spine problems. Dr. Karl Wenger Ph.D., is head of our research department and is integral in keeping MCG Orthopaedics on the cutting edge of medicine. Mark Daniel, PA-C, is the spine physician assistant and works closely with the physicians and patients.

Dr. Chutkan came to MCG from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center where he was chief of orthopaedic spine surgery. He is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Chutkan completed an orthopaedic spine fellowship at LSU. He has numerous publications, presentations, and lectures to his credit.

Dr. Goodrich is a graduate of MCG School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedics at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Dr. Goodrich also completed a spine surgery fellowship with Thomas Whitesides, Jr., at Emory.

Mark Daniel, PA-C, is a graduate of MCG School of Allied Health Sciences, Physician Assistant Program. He has a strong background in orthopaedics and sports medicine. He is now dedicated to orthopaedic spine surgery
